Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Matchabit, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Use of Service

You agree to use Matchabit only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and comply with applicable club rules and event guidelines. Club owners may not use standard accounts to organize tournaments or matches at their clubs; a club owner account is required.

3. Bookings and Payments

Bookings, match payments, and tournament registrations are subject to availability and club policies. Fees, splits, and refund terms are shown before confirmation. Payments are processed by third-party processors (e.g., Iyzico). Some features require a paid subscription billed through Apple or Google, which you can manage in your app store account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others, send unlawful content, or post false or misleading information. You must respect other users in chats and events. Chat and direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted; do not share sensitive personal information. We may review messages when investigating reports or enforcing these Terms. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Account Suspension

Your account may be suspended or terminated if you violate these Terms. Suspension reasons include, but are not limited to:

  • Multiple verified reports from other users
  • Fake accounts, payment fraud, or deceptive behavior
  • Sending unsolicited messages or promotions
  • Any violation of these Terms of Service
  • Unauthorized collection or sharing of others' personal data
  • Threatening, bullying, or abusive behavior toward other users
  • Pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting your identity
  • Sharing offensive, illegal, or prohibited content

What happens when suspended

  • You will lose access to your account immediately
  • You will be unable to log in or use the app
  • Active reservations and match participations may be cancelled
  • You may appeal the decision via our Contact page

If you believe your suspension was made in error, you may contact us at [email protected] to appeal within 30 days of the suspension.

6. Limitation of Liability

Matchabit acts as a platform connecting users with clubs and other players. We do not control or guarantee club services, facilities, or events, and we are not responsible for disputes between users and clubs or between users.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Apple EULA Terms (iOS)

The following terms apply to the iOS app (the "Licensed Application"):

  • Acknowledgement: This EULA is between you and Matchabit only, not Apple. Matchabit is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content. Usage rules must not conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which you acknowledge you have had the opportunity to review.
  • Scope of License: A non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Usage Rules, except that Family Sharing or volume purchasing may allow access by other associated accounts.
  • Maintenance and Support: Matchabit is responsible for support and maintenance (as required by law). Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance.
  • Warranty: Matchabit is responsible for any warranties (to the extent not disclaimed). If the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligations.
  • Product Claims: Matchabit, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to the Licensed Application, including product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, and consumer protection/privacy claims (including HealthKit/HomeKit if applicable). These Terms do not limit Matchabit's liability beyond what is permitted by law.
  • Intellectual Property: Matchabit, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim.
  • Legal Compliance: You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country or on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

  • Third-Party Terms: You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Licensed Application.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the EULA and may enforce it against you.

10. Club and Partner Conditions

If you operate a club or are otherwise onboarded as a partner, the following additional terms apply:

  • Authority and Capacity: You represent that you have the legal authority to bind the club or business to these Terms and any related partner agreement.
  • Listing Accuracy: You must keep club profiles, court inventory, operating hours, closures, pricing, fees, taxes, and club policies accurate and up to date.
  • Booking Fulfillment and Venue Responsibility: You are responsible for delivering booked services safely and as described, including staffing, access control, and compliance with applicable local laws, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Cancellations, Refunds, and Disputes: You must apply your published cancellation and refund rules consistently and cooperate in good faith to resolve customer complaints, payment disputes, and chargebacks.
  • Credential and API Security: You must protect staff accounts, partner keys, and API credentials. Actions performed with your credentials are deemed authorized by your organization unless reported compromised.
  • Permitted Data Use: Personal data obtained through Matchabit may only be used for service fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and other uses expressly permitted by applicable law and contract.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You may not circumvent Matchabit for in-scope bookings to avoid applicable fees, manipulate pricing or availability, submit fraudulent transactions, or unlawfully discriminate against users.
  • Incident Reporting and Cooperation: You must promptly notify Matchabit of legal, security, or privacy incidents that may affect users and cooperate with reasonable remediation and investigation requests.
  • Suspension and Termination: Material or repeated violations of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable law, or partner obligations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your partner access and related agreements.
  • Effect of Termination: Upon termination, you must stop using partner services and confidential materials, return or delete personal data as required, and fulfill or coordinate treatment of already-confirmed bookings as instructed by Matchabit.
